Wendy's High School Heisman Award Students can apply for the Wendy's High School Heisman award. Eligibility for application is limited exclusively to men and women entering their senior year who have a "B" grade average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport. Completed applications are due by October 2, 2011 no later than 5:00pm CST.
Horatio Alger Association The Horatio Alger Illinois Scholarship Program awards twenty-five $5,000 scholarships to students in the state of Illinois who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity and who aspire to pursue higher education. Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation H.S. Senior; U.S. Citizen; U.S. National; U.S. Permanent Resident; Temporary Resident (legalization program); Refugee; Asylee; Cuban-Haitian Entrant; or Humanitarian Parolee; Plan to pursue a degree at a post-secondary institution; minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of junior year. Awards are based on character, personal merit (leadership, extracurricular activities, academics) and commitment. STUDENTS MUST APPLY ONLINE!! NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award Award of $1,000. Four National winners will be issued $5,000. 1 Entrepreneur of the Year Award will be issued for $10,000. Graduating high school senior entering freshman year at accredited two or four year university, college, or vocational institute. An officially established business is a requirement. Consumers Cooperative Association Scholarship Applicants for this scholarship must be members, or their parents must have been members of Consumers Cooperative Credit Union for at least one year.  Applications are available at Consumers Cooperative Credit Union offices and at the CCRC. U.S. Bank Internet Scholarship Program Available to High School Seniors and College Undergrads.  Forty $1,000.00 scholarships awarded in a random drawing.  No essays.  Program Runs October through March.  Apply online at usbank.com/scholarship Apply between October 1, 2011 and March 31, 2012
Cappex Scholarship High School Innovator of the Year - $5,000.00 – For students that have invented something noteworthy or improved a process that affects your school, city or town during your high school career. Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Qualified students must nominate themselves for this scholarship. GPA of 2.8 or higher, leadership abilities, community service, plan to attend accredited, nonprofit college, university or vocational/technical school in the U.S. Nomination forms available in the CCRC. Bruce Fishkin Scholarship Fund Qualified Juniors and Seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or greater who attend a public or private school in Lake County. October 1, 2011 through December 15, 2011

University of Iowa Scholarship Electrical and Computer Engineering Students are awarded up to $16,500. Mac Lean-Fogg Scholarship Graduating H.S. Senior from Mundelein H.S.; must be accepted by an accredited 4-year college or university of your choice and have demonstrated academic excellence with particular emphasis in Mathematics, Sciences, Industrial Arts, and Engineering; must have demonstrated achievement, creativity, leadership and the "entrepreneurial spirit" in activities at school, in the community and in other areas of life. Must be enrolled in college full-time and maintain full-time enrollment with a "B" grade point average; must write 4 personal statements: 1-academic objective in attending college, 2- list 3 areas of personal achievement within the last year, 3- define entrepreneurial spirit and how you exemplify this spirit, 4- what academic experience during your junior & senior years was the most stimulating, and why; school recommendation and personal recommendation; transcript $1,500/year for 4 years
