Model UN
Hello fellow delegates!!! The Model United Nations team is sponsored by the University of Chicago, and focuses on resolving conflicts that the real United Nations face. Each school represents one or a few countries, and is split up into the committees that the chosen country belongs to.
A group of 110 high schools from 17 states and 4 countries travel to the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, IL to debate current world issues.
Mundelein High School has represented the following countries since the first Model United Nations in 2010:

Belgium
Mauritius
And served on the following committees:
African Union
Economic and Financial
International Atomic Energy Agency
Disarmament & International Security
Security Council
UNICEF
World Conference on Women
World Health Organization

Delegation Requirements and Information
- The event is held at the Palmer House Hilton from February 2-5, 2012
- In order to participate, delegates must turn in:
- Activities Form
- $60 delegate fee
- Position paper (topic presented upon committee assignment)
-Total approximate cost (including hotel accommodations, delegate fees, and transportation) is $225- $275
Attention Current Delegates
The next meeting is on November 22 in room A014 (Mrs. Darcy's room) to discuss final plans for committees and position papers before winter break. You also need to remember to bring in the Model UN Code of Conduct form, which is due that day and no later. Thank you!
