Provided Hours: the information and opportunities for the event is given and provided by NHS
Personal Hours: each member individually finds the information of the service event - Requires the signature of the event sponsor
End of the Year Meeting Announcements:
- Five Personal Summer Hours are Required for Returning Members - the five hours may be from one event
- All Summer Hours will count as Personal hours, not Provided hours
- Each Returning Member may count up to 10 Service Hours over the Summer - must be from two or more events
- In the 2012-2013 school year, a total of 20 hours must be done for returning members in addition to the five summer hours
- Ten Provided hours and Ten Personal hours must be completed out of the 20 hours for the 2012-2013 school year
- If chosen to complete 10 Summer hours, the extra five hours may be used for the required five personal hours for the school year
